The belt like a car tyre has a wear life. Inspect and replace at 150hrs or signs of wear or damage. Sand and grit can impregnate the belt and cause accelerated wear of the pulleys.

Factory R

New belt tension 5kg on spanner (500/520 Hz)

Thereafter 4kg on spanner (430/450 Hz)
